Don't Quit

When things go wrong......

This is the start of a poem I have re-discovered and it gave me a boost!  The poem is called Don't Quit and has been around for many, many years.  In fact I remember it some 30 odd years ago when I was working for a sales rep.  He had it hanging on the wall.

It is the sort of poem that can be applied to many situations or circumstances where you feel like giving up.

In these times of seemingly continuous gloom and doom, what with recession and people from all walks of life feeling the pinch, the wars and the bad news that is always on the TV, we all sometimes need a bit of a lift or a boost.

I have tried doing the Julie Andrews thing - My Favourite Things - the trouble with thinking of my favourite things to cheer me up is that most of my favourite things cost money and that is something that seems virtually non-existent!  No, not really though, I do have favourite things that are free, like my labrador, but he is another story!  Having said that, he is not free, he costs money to feed! Flowers in the garden, the sun (when it shines), the smell of grass when it has just rained, happy smiling faces....I could go on.

Anyway this poem, I don't think I can put it in here because it has obviously been published before, so I have put it on my website (well the dog's website actually) so if you want to read it please do so.  Otherwise I think you should be able to find it if you type in "Don't Quit" into a search engine.

I hope you enjoy it, but forgive me if you have already seen it; as I said it has been around for many years.
