Christmas is for dogs too.
52I love Christmas. It's not just because everyone is at home together, nor the fact that I get more walks - especially after they have eaten rather large dinners, it is because I get presents; yes, all to myself, that I am allowed to open. Sometimes it is something special to eat like a large chewie or doggie chocolates (at Christmas my diet stops - I seem to be on a permanent diet as I never get enough food), I may get a new collar or lead, possibly a new comfortable bed (though why I can't use theirs, I don't know), or best of all a new squeekie toy – why is that best? – because it drives them mad as I run all over the house squeeking it. When I run out into the garden with it all the neighbours dogs start barking. Needless to say, it does not take long before my new squeekie toy is put away!
Of course, I also like to help open their Christmas presents too - just in case there is something interesting for me to have a look at or play with - perhaps her new furry slippers or his Christmas fluffy socks...we shall see.

So that's Christmas from a dogs point of view. Very interesting. It must have been "ruff" to type this with your paws. Sorry couldn't resist. Very good hub.
